The Hidden Life - Semi-autobiography of a Betty Skinner and her her journey to a healthy relationship to God. This book has changed my walk with God more than any book (other than the Bible.) When God Breaks Your Heart - Pastor Ed Underwood of Church of the Open Door, deals with the pain and questions we all ask when God allows trials in our life. His is incredibly open with his own story of dealing with cancer; this book has really ministered to Daryl and I.
Recent Reads Snow Flower and the Secret Fan - story takes place in 19th century China. Deals a lot with the women's culture of those times and the relationships of mother/daughter and friendship. I also learned a lot about foot-binding. This is not a "feel good" novel, but it provokes good thought and is very well written.
