The Spradley Grandparents are here!

or as my mom has said, "the reinforcements" have come! My in-laws Steve and Sherry arrived yesterday afternoon. They got a bus to get from Heathrow airport up to Luton Airport which is a smaller airport at the next big town north of us. Daryl and I thought it would be nice and hospitable to meet them there instead of leaving them on their own to figure out how to get to our appartment. As it turns out we should have just left them to figure it out cause we ended up having a crazy evening trying to track them down! Unfortunately we had a miscommunication and mom and dad thought they needed to be at the train station to wait for us. So while we were waiting at the Luton airport, they were waiting at the Luton Rail station! they left a message on our cell which we got just before our phone battery died! Honestly- it was a comedy of errors! Daryl and i took a shuttle bus, a taxi, a train and still we never found them. Finally he and i split up and i came back home while he went one more time back to the airport. He finally came home and a few minutes after he arrived, we spotted them with their 4 rolling suitcases walking down High street (They had finally given up on us and hoped on the train!) As it turns out, their bus had first taken them to the airport, but after not seeing us (we arrived literally minutes later!) they asked the bus driver if the airport was the main drop off and he said, "oh no, i'll take you over to the train station" so he droped them off at the Luton train station (which Daryl and i did go to although having never been there before, we didn't know there was a seating / ticket area upstairs and we only looked downstairs. But don't worry, even though it was a bit crazy, we were all in good spirits, happy to see each other. Man, now i know what life was like before cell phones and i'm happy to ususally have one in good working order!
